Preparing for my EC Planner

I'm so excited that my Erin Condren planner is finally shipping today. For the past couple weeks I've been buying, printing and cutting stickers for this planner like there's no tomorrow. I can't wait to see it in action, though. I'm sorta afraid that this planner is going to be a lot of work and that I might get sick of it. It's an 18 month planner, so if I come & go from it I think I will still get my money's worth. I've been thinking about where I'm going to store my random thoughts that my bullet journal is built to capture. I made a half-letter staple bound notebook that I labeled "Brain Dump" that I used today while I was waiting for my boyfriend to meet me for lunch. But I really would rather have a good, cloth bound notebook like the one I've been using for my Bullet Journal to record my thoughts. It's a Clairefontaine and the paper is awesome. I wish they were dot-grid, but I've been using the graph paper and that's ok. For recording my thoughts, lined would probably be best. I have another cloth bound notebook with lines somewhere that I was using for my "morning pages" but I can't seem to locate it. I need to dig thru my piles of notebooks and find it though. I got the large case from EC to carry my planner in, so I should have room to also get my brain dump notebook and pen case in there, I think. I'm trying not to buy more stationery products for the next couple months in order to justify buying a Silhouette if I like how these stickers work in the EC. I can't buy them already printed because I know myself... I will be afraid to use them up, so I will just collect them and never use them. But cutting them myself is a pain in the ass and not as neat as I would like them to be. I got the small sheets of Avery labels that Wenda from Wendaful Designs uses for some of her stickers. I made those for my weekly dinner with my girls, the days they are with me and the days they are with their father, so I can easily keep track of those dates. Also, those labels are removable, unlike my full page sticker sheets, so when I had to rearrange things the day of my upcoming surgery, it was no problem to move the sticker to a different day. I also joined the L.W.A. and wrote my first pen pal letter today. The post office is still printing Charlie Brown christmas stamps in the self-serve machines. It's June 20th. You'da thought they would have changed that by now. Then I went to my mom's house and found my last batch of stamps I bought and never used ... Spiderman. That was a couple years ago. I used to have prisoner pen pals a bunch of years ago, so when I told my mom that I had a new pen pal, she rolled her eyes and asked if I was back to that. No, this time it's a woman in S.C. "When are you gonna have time for that?!" Time? To write a letter? Um, I'm not writing a best seller here, it's a letter. And it was a little ridiculous for my mom to tell me I didn't have time to write a letter when she spends hours every day on the phone with her friends. I have no friends. I text my boyfriend and my kids and occasionally my coworkers, but that's it. I don't go out with friends. I don't talk on the phone with anyone except my kids. I have time to write to a pen pal.
